Kanye West Says Yeezy Foam Runner Is Made in USA from Algae
Ye said he would bring Yeezy production to America, and it looks like he’s doing just that. Appearing at the Fast Company Innovation Festival with sneaker designer Steven Smith, Kanye West explained his bold moves regarding the future of Yeezy.
Wyoming will be the new headquarters for Yeezy, where a 4000-acre ranch will include a hydroponic setup. This will enable the production of foam made from locally-grown algae. Reportedly, the algae cultivated may also help clean waterways and reduce the use of fossil fuels in the production process.
It seems Yeezy is looking into more eco-friendly methods, and is beginning to explore alternative dyes and reducing environmental harm. Stay tuned to Sneaker Freaker for more developments in the Yeezy saga…
