Kanye West Stirs the Pot With Jordan Brand-Centric Instagram Post

Kanye West Jordan Brand Instagram Post

Kanye West – or Ye, if you'd prefer – is a supremely talented musician and accomplished designer, but something that he may be even better at than making slappers or starting trends is stirring the pot. Less than a week ago, West was rapping about kicking Pete Davidson's ass on a track with The Game, and now he's taken to his Instagram to post a Jordan Brand-centric carousel, notwithstanding his long-term deal with adidas.

As can be seen in West's post above, there's Jordan Brand's signature Jumpman image followed by a screenshot of a tweet from Nice Kicks. The tweet in question is from Marcus Jordan – Michael Jordan's son and the owner of Trophy Room – and in it he expresses his desire to get West together with his 'pops' and DJ Khaled. What exactly Jordan means is uncertain, but imagine being a fly on the wall in that meeting!

Though West has been signed with adidas since 2013, he's been spotted wearing Nike and Jordan Brand gear numerous times in the past few years. Most recently, he rocked a pair of Heron Preston x Nike football gloves and famously wore Nike socks to one of his DONDA listening parties – but he's also expressed his admiration for the ISPA Road Warrior, been spotted trying on the ISPA Air Max 720, rocked a pair of the Air Jordan 1 'Court Purple' and hit the town in the Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Foamposite One, among other instances.

West and adidas' Yeezy line is still rolling along, with the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 'Blue Tint' set to restock tomorrow, January 22, so the post is very likely just West spitballing and looking for attention – but the whole scene is entertaining nonetheless, and we'll certainly be keeping an eye on it.
