Kader Sylla’s Latest adidas Samba Colab Lands this Weekend

adidas are always bolstering their catalogue of skate-ready heaters, with a particular penchant for reworking archival silhouettes through a bevy of collaborators. Last year, Team Trefoil’s skate arm continued their longstanding partnership with Blondey McCoy and more recently with Kader Sylla. US-based Sylla is now preparing to launch his third adidas linkup, using the Samba silhouette to craft a relaxed colourway that pays homage to his family roots.

Sylla has chosen the ‘ADV’ version of the Samba, which has been optimised for skate with upgraded T-toe design, Adituff reinforcement, and a moulded sock liner. The design is inspired by Côte d’lvoire in West Africa, where Sylla’s mother is from, and the upper is crafted using a tumbled leather base layer with premium suede construction. This pair also boasts a secret stash pocket that’s been inspired by skate shoes from the 1990s.

The Kader Sylla x adidas Samba ADV will launch through adidas’ web channel on February 10.
