Joshua Vides is the guy responsible for the line-work litany taking over sneaker Instagram right now. His simple approach of outlining white sneakers in black struck a chord, and his profile has skyrocketed over the last few months. He’s worked with adidas, Jordan Brand, StockX and even caught the eye of artists like Takashi Murakami.

Bleacher Report recently caught up with him for a chat, and got him to show his process by customising an Off-White Air Jordan 1. They talk about how he got into art, his illegal artwork, and how he almost missed the opportunity to get his Air Force 1s on LeBron’s feet.
