Teased! Artist Joshua Vides is Releasing Another Converse Colab

Joshua Vides x Converse Chuck 70

Contemporary artist and designer Joshua Vides has become a heavy presence within the sneakersphere over the past few years, securing collaborations with a bunch of brands and getting co-signs from the likes of LeBron James and Takashi Murakami. He rose to prominence through his line-work on iconic sneaker silhouettes such as the Air Force 1.

Nowadays, Vides is a favourite Converse collaborator with their relationship kicking off in 2019 via a velcro-panelled Pantone-hued Chuck 70 that debuted at ComplexCon Chicago. A year after their initial link up, the pair embarked on a mega project that benefitted the art community with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Vides created a painted piece on an epic 40ft canvas that was then turned into 30 pairs of Chuck 70s, each bearing its own unique pattern.

Vides has now teased his next venture! Taking to his socials, he’s shared the upcoming collaborative Converse shoe box with a small portion of the sneaker poking out of the side. It looks like another Chuck 70 and features a specialised traffic cone emblem on the midsole.

No other information on the upcoming link up has surfaced but we’ll keep you updated as soon as Joshua Vides or Converse announce the collaboration.
