Upcoming Jordan Releases Possibly Delayed Until March 2022
According to internet chatter, a number of Jordan Brand releases originally slated for December won’t be available until at least January 2022. In one case, a release planned for January next year may now be as late as March. The latest casualties of the delays are the Air Jordan 1 ‘Dark Marina Blue’, and the Air Jordan 13 in ‘Court Purple’ and ‘Del Sol’ colourways.
Before this latest wave of delays, Jordan Brand supplied this official statement in response to the ongoing challenges that have affected not only their entire assortment, but also Nike’s:
‘The health and safety of our teammates, as well as that of our suppliers, remains our top priority. We continue to work with our suppliers to support their efforts in response to the dynamic and unprecedented nature of COVID-19.
Consumer demand for Nike remains at an all-time high and we are confident that our deep consumer connections and the momentum for our brand will continue.
However, we are not immune to the global supply chain headwinds that are challenging the manufacture and movement of product around the world.
We are confident both in Nike’s ability to navigate these near-term dynamics as well as the strong demand for our Brand and products; however, marketplace demand will exceed available supply for holiday, spring and summer seasons.’
At this stage, according to @zsneakerheadz, the AJ1 ‘Dark Marina Blue’ and AJ13 ‘Court Purple’ are now expected to release in January 2022, while the AJ13 ‘Del Sol’ won’t land until later in March. Of course, this is subject to change at sudden notice.
