Joe Freshgoods Teases His New Balance 990v3 'Outside Clothes' Project
Following our exclusive world-first preview in , Chicago's very own Joe Freshgoods has given us another sneak peek of his upcoming collaboration: the 'Outside Clothes'.
The highly anticipated follow-up to his project from 2020, this latest creation is a deeply personal Joe Freshgoods narrative, sourced straight outta the late 90s.
'The name is ‘Outside Clothes’. It’s super deep for certain people,' explains Joe in our exclusive Issue 45 interview.
'My mom used to tell me, ‘You smell like outside!’ or ‘Don’t get on the bed with your outside clothes!’ That was a thing growing up. I wanted to focus on what city life was like in the late 90s in urban areas.'
Dressed in blue mesh with brown suede overlays, the sneaker is given an added kick with bright green accents and playful Freshgoods features. In this latest look, we get a peek at the rear, which displays 'Outside Clothes' and 'JFG' embroidery, traditional New Balance branding, and 'Made for Us' printed towards the ankle collar. One thing's for sure: the design is distinctly Joe!
