JJJJound Reveal Another New Balance 990v3 Colab

JJJJound x New Balance 990v3

The Montreal-based masters of minimalism at JJJJound have quite a way with New Balance's classic 990v3. Their first-ever NB colab was a 990v3 that was released in 2018 and sells for four figures today, and they returned to the model in 2021 as well. Now, JJJJound have revealed that they have a third 990v3 on the way by posting a single photo of the upcoming style on their Instagram.

The new shoe's upper uses an earthy brown tone that's a few shades darker than the above-mentioned 2018 colab, then embellishes its mesh and suede expanses with stark black accents. Down below, the ENCAP midsole is all-black, a familiar choice that was also present on last year's JJJJound x New Balance 990v4 as well as other popular colabs like the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993. If past colabs are any indication, there should be a small hit of JJJJound branding somewhere on the shoe – but it's not visible in this photo.

A release date for the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 has yet to be announced, but the caption of their Instagram post alluded to an SS22 release, which means it'll likely be dropping in the coming weeks.
