Jeremy Scott and adidas Have A Forum Hi 'Wings 4.0' On The Way
and resumed their partnership to in 2021, and they're set to advance it in 2022 with a new chapter of Scott's famed 'Wings' sneakers. A dubbed the 'Wings 4.0', Scott's latest piece of winged footwear offers a potently playful look, and, for the first time ever, flips its wing detailing around so it's facing backwards.
These wild wings wrap around the shoe's heel, and are embellished with black feather embroidery that stands in stark contrast to the shoe's crisp white leather base. Though these wings may be the most standout part of the shoe, the most intricately interesting detail is provided by the collar strap and how it works its way through/around the wings without any interference. Scott's visage is present on the inner half of the branded tongue tag, and specially-branded insoles finalise the look.
Scott's first 'Wings' sneaker was the , which debuted in the late aughts and featured a wing affixed to the lateral side of its laces. That was followed by the in the early 2010s, which moved the wings to the collar, and 2014's , which offered spiky, Batman-esque wings along its throat. When the 'Wings 4.0' releases in 2022, it'll be the first new 'Wings' silhouette in eight years, and continues a decade-plus long tradition!
