Jeff Staple Links Up with RTFKT for Meta-Pigeon NFT and Physical Sneakers
Sneaker legend and NYC local has jumped on the NFT (Non-fungible token) surge, linking-up with the industry-defining RTFKT Studios for a remix of his iconic Pigeon design.
Readying both a ‘Meta-Pigeon’ NFT and physical sneakers, Jeff Staple and RTFKT will revisit the concept behind the Low ‘Pigeon’ that landed in NYC 16 years ago.
Comprised of three editions, the collaboration features two NFT sneakers (released within a 15-minute ‘Open Edition’ timeframe), both rendered in different colourways and corresponding rarity. A purple NFT sneaker carrying a ‘legendary’ rarity will be available for purchase for $2021. The second model, donned in a ‘white’ colourway, is a ‘rare’ rendition available for $500.
The third edition, a ‘Metapigeon VR’, is marked with ‘Legendary’ status and will be available only in 100 copies. The price of these will be just $1.00.
