Jacques Slade and eBay Are Selling 300 Pairs of Sneakers For Charity
Digital content creator, sneaker collector Jaques Slade – also known as @kustoo to his legions of followers – has long made giving back and spotlighting notable causes a part of his practice. For this year's holiday season, Slade is taking things a step further by teaming with eBay to play sneaker Santa as part of eBay's 'Sleigh Drop' auction series, which also features noted sneaker collector DJ Skee and La La Anthony, a media personality and the wife of Carmelo Anthony.
What makes Slade's eBay auction unique, however, is what he plans to do with the proceeds. He's parting with 300 pairs from his personal collection, but won't make a dime – instead, he's decided to donate 100 per cent of the money he makes from the sale of his shoes to charity.
Slade's sales will be split between LA Family Housing (a leading homeless service agency in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley), Shoes that Fit (an organisation that 'gives kids in need new athletic shoes to attend school with dignity and joy') and the Boys & Girls Club of Pacoima.
The 300 pairs included in the auction are mostly US size 11-11.5, and include everything from rare LeBron James and Kobe Bryant releases from Nike to a friends and family pack from 2019's famed AriZona Iced Tea x adidas colab. If you're interested in checking out what's available/purchasing a pair, you can head over to eBay now and see everything for yourself.
