J Dilla X Serato
Pay Jay, aka the estate of the late great J Dilla, have teamed up with Stones Throw and Serato to release Donut Shop, the official J Dilla Serato suite. Consisting of two vinyl discs, each with three tracks on one side and Serato Control Tone (for use with Serato Scratch Live DJ software) on the flipside, the release comes in deluxe packaging designed by and includes a pair of donut slipmats. Tracks include previously unreleased instrumentals selected by J.Rocc from the Dilla archives – “Safety Dance”, “Sycamore”, “Bars & Twists” – plus three unreleased instrumentals produced for Mos Def, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes.
