It’s Official! Jean Paul Gaultier, sacai and Nike Join for Vaporwaffle Colab

After they won 2019 with the LDVWaffle, sacai have become a Nike colab mainstay and, on top of that, the frequent subject of three-way collaborations. We’ve seen the Japanese label and the Swoosh join with UNDERCOVER and KAWS, as well as a rumoured Fragment link-up on the feet of Hiroshi Fujiwara. Now, following months of leaks, we have official confirmation of another: the Jean Paul Gaultier x sacai x Nike Vaporwaffle.

Appearing as a high-top version of the hybrid silhouette, the link-up employs the now-familiar layered aesthetic adding a luxurious touch with exaggerated leather and cotton stitches. This textural vibe carries onto the upper, where smooth and rough suedes sit with leather and nylon for added tactile interest.

The triumvirate have primed two colourways for release, the Blue/Sesame which adds yellow, green and orange into the mix for a bit of spice, and a dependable black and white iteration.
