Is Joel Embiid Signing with Under Armour?
Joel Embiid is set to become one of the NBA’s hottest sneaker free-agents. The 7-foot Cameroonian currently has a deal with adidas that is set to expire, and all signs point to a deal with Under Armour.
Despite still being under contract with Three Stripes, ‘The Process’ was seen rocking multiple Under Armour builds during his preseason training, and even repped UA sneakers during Philly’s Media Day. Embiid was spotted in both high and low versions of UA’s Havoc Basketball shoe.
As one of the most marketable stars of the NBA, Under Armour is likely keen to sign Embiid after launching unsuccessful bids to secure Kevin Durant in 2014 for a lazy $265 million.
.@JoelEmbiid officially becomes a sneaker free agent on September 30. Which brand should he sign with?
