Salehe Bembury certainly knows how to deliver a contemporary clog. Since landing on the cover of Sneaker Freaker issue 46, Salehe’s Crocs Pollex Clog continues to stomp across the zeitgeist, the model arguably the best rendition we’ve seen of the slip-on footwear since the great re-clog-aissance.

Sneaker Freaker touched down at Paris Fashion Week to check out Salehe’s latest bustling pop-up, the New York designer releasing a limited 500-unit drop of his popular Pollex Clog.

A closed series wear test sample, the collaboration saw queues line up around the corner of the Paris pop-up, the model a ‘100 per cent vegan exploration of form and function’.

Composed in a crispy white palette with strikethroughs of inky black, the design followed all the classic hallmarks of Salehe’s popular Crocs collaboration. Rendered with three of Salehe’s fingerprints merged together, the silhouette is infused with dramatic concave ridges allowing for multi-directional traction.

Unfortunately, we don’t expect this colourway to get a wider retail release.

For more on Paris Fashion Week, make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker, as we give you all the latest news from on the ground.
