Off-White Appoint Ibrahim Kamara as Art and Image Director
have appointed Ibrahim Kamara to the role of art and image director. The news was broken via a post on the brand's , where they stated that he will be 'joining a collective of creatives and overseeing the artistic direction of the brand'. The post also detailed how Kamara's relationship with the late blossomed.
They wrote, 'Ibrahim’s relationship with Virgil and Off-White™ born and nurtured through DM messages on Instagram, blossomed both personally and professionally in the last 3 years creating a strong bond based on mutual respect and shared values. In the new role, he will further develop his influence and insight on the brand’s collections, image and content.'
As reported by , Off-White’s CEO Andrea Grilli shared that Kamara has been a long-time member of the Off-White family, involved in the styling on numerous of their fashion shows. Kamara is also a former editor-in-chief of Dazed and fashion editor-at-large at i-D.
On the new position, Kamara wrote on Instagram, 'Virgil will forever be with us. With me. He changed the world and left an indelible mark on anyone who encountered him and beyond. Generous with his time, mind and creativity - he saw everyone and created with all humans in mind.
