Hype DC Celebrate 25th Anniversary With New Balance 2002R ‘Native Dynamics’
Australian and New Zealand sneaker retailer are commemorating their 25th anniversary in 2023 and have invited to help them celebrate. Following their long relationship, Hype DC have been given the chance to curate a colourway of the , dubbed ‘Native Dynamics’. The lush combo has been inspired by both brands and the natural landscape of Australia and New Zealand, looking to salt lakes and blue coastlines.
‘New Balance has been a trailblazer of setting trends and driving premium product to our customers for 25 years, we felt they were the perfect brand to celebrate our milestone birthday. Our customers have had a long-standing love affair with New Balance, so it made total sense to us,’ said Hype DC Head of Product, Michael Harag. ‘When we first started concepting the idea of a special colourway sneaker to celebrate this milestone, we really wanted something that would have broad appeal and that could speak to our heritage but also point to our future. The New Balance 2002R does exactly that, it’s a heritage style reborn for today and appeals to men, women and kids of all ages’.
Kitted out with premium suede and mesh, a creamy tone dominates most of the upper allowing for the blue and pink to pop. Hype DC have added their own celebratory touches in the way of ’25’ scripted on the heel and lace dubrae.
Looking to scoop the Hype DC-exclusive New Balance 2002R ‘Native Dynamics’? Pairs will be limited and will see a release via the retailer’s webstore and brick-and-mortars on October 20. Further celebrating the launch, Hype DC will hold a pop-up store in Armadale, Victoria between October 20 and October 22.
