First Look at the HUF x Nike SB Dunk Low 'San Fransisco'
After HUF and Nike SB's Big Apple-themed SB Dunk Low 'NYC' was revealed yesterday, we now have a look at its counterpart: a San Fransisco-themed SB Dunk Low. Together, the two pairs tell the story of late HUF founder Keith Hufnagel's rise – first as a pro skater, then as a sneaker shop owner and finally as a brand owner – who grew up in NYC before moving to San Fransisco and opening the first HUF store.
The HUF x Nike SB Dunk Low 'San Fransisco' is decked out in white, black and grey, with a San Fransisco Giants-inspired 'Keith Forever' hit across its heel tabs to add some true Bay Area steez. San Fransisco's skyline also takes up residence across the lower part of the heel for a nod to the HUF x Nike Air Max 1 from 2004, and a special HUF logo with a metallic Swoosh is emblazoned on the top of the toebox. It's also worth noting that although the tongue's branding is SB (and features a San Fransisco text hit of its own) that the overall shape is much more reminiscent of a Nike Sportswear Dunk Low than the variety produced by SB.
A release date for this touching tribute to Hufnagel and 20 years of his brand has yet to be announced (as does info for the 'NYC' pair), but we'll be sure to update you as soon as it is.
