Sneaker customiser and The Shoe Surgeon SRGN Academy alumni Marcus Floyd is making literal ‘Horse Kicks’ – yes, sneakers for horses.

Floyd has reworked popular models, including the Air Jordan 1, New Balance 650 and Yeezy BOOST 350 V2, for equestrian use, using deconstruction and reconstruction techniques studied at the SRGN Academy. These sneakers’ familiar silhouettes have been retained while also meeting the unique ergonomics of horse hooves.

Horse Kicks are operating in partnership with the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau, aka VisitLEX, which is hosting a pop-up to show off the unique ‘horseshoes’. They’ll be on display during the Breeders’ Cup horse racing event on November 4 and 5. These pieces will then be auctioned off at the Sneaker Ball LEX charity event on November 12.

Sneakerheads interested in saddling up some Horse Kicks can also place custom orders from their web store, which launches on October 24. Each foot starts at $1200, with a portion of proceeds going towards Sneaker Ball LEX and its supporting charities.
