have buddied up with  to present this double pack of runners under the ‘Swan’ banner. A native to southern parts of Australia, the black swan (aka cygnus atratus) is a common sight in HAL’s hometown of Perth, where the bird has been the state symbol since white folks arrived in a boat. The counterpoint to this tale of ebony and ivory brotherhood is the white swan, native of the northern skies and universal symbol of love, fidelity and Russian ballet. In the experienced hands of HAL’s design team, the R1000’s sleek dimensions and multi-layered paneling are the perfect foil for their avian muse.

The colour story speaks for itself, with the red ‘beak’ of the shoe making the most dramatic visual announcement. Plush suede, nubile nubuck, calfskin leather and perforated toe boxes add a suitably regal blend of texture and tone to Le Coq’s raddest 90s runner. There's also some companion apparel dropping alongside the sneak, which you can peep in the gallery below. Both shoes will be released on August 23 from  Highs and Lows MTLawley store in Perth, The Rocks Lecoq Sportif flagship store in Sydney, Up There Store Melbourne and Laced Brisbane, followed by a limited international release at select Le Coq Sportif retailers on September 6 (list below).
