If you were one of the lucky few who got your hands on a pair of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550s, then we’re sure that you’re putting together some fire fits to complement those sweet creps. Arguably one of the most tasteful sneakers of 2020, it doesn’t just look good, but it also has a pretty neat backstory.

An OG in New Balance’s arsenal, the NB550 first saw a release in 1989, and hadn’t been touched since! Luckily, ALD’s founder Teddy Santis combed through their archive and resurrected the shoe. With a vintage-inspired look, the Basketball Oxfords slot perfectly within the rest of ALD's apparel offerings.

Four separate colourways released, all following the same formula. Boasting a white perforated leather base mixed in with matching pre-yellowed midsoles, each pair also came with tonal laces adding to the pre-worn aesthetic. Additionally, each of the shoes rocked different coloured pops on the ’N’ branding, 550 logo, and and tongue. Making their mark, Aimé Leon Dore scripted their logo on the heel and tongue.

Because it's an extremely easy shoe to rock, we’ve been on a mission to find the swankiest swag-lords and flyest flexers who've put together fits featuring their Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550s. Vintage jeans, pleats, and tonal looks are what’s popping. So, have a look below to see how people have been styling their pairs.
