GORPcore Searches Up 600 Per Cent According to eBay Data
It seems the GORPcore trend is not going away anytime soon, as have reported searches for rugged footwear, apparel, and accessories have surged 600 per cent. This data has been compared between that from March 2023 and March 2022.
The figure has also been drawn from global eBay data, so it’s safe to surmise that people all around the world are interested in buying GORPwear to tackle the great outdoors – or at least look the part.
On the footwear front, the Anacapa, Rainier, Moc 3.5 and XT-4 were the most popular GORP sneakers, netting triple-digit percentage sales increases across the same comparison period.
Perhaps most telling of eBay user habits and their interest in GORPcore is exactly what they were searching for. In the entire 2022 year period, users searched for Crocs over 30 times per minute. However, that’s nothing compared to the almost 60 searches per minute for footwear from The North Face.
