Elissa Steamer's skate and surf brand Gnarhunters are following up their 2019 SB Blazer collaboration by linking with Nike SB for a new take on the SB Dunk Low. Steamer's been signed to Nike's skate division since 2008 – and any 90s baby will surely remember her as the first woman to appear in the popular Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series – so her brand's new SB Dunk, revealed by sneaker leaker @die_sel666, is another milestone in her storied, four decade-spanning skate career.
Gnarhunters' SB Dunk Low is dressed in a simple black colour scheme with white outsoles. However, its construction is anything but simple. Uppers are split between towel-like terry cloth and a neoprene-like smooth black synthetic material, while black and yellow insoles feature hand-drawn 'Fun Screen' graphics and nautical detailing. More Gnarhunters graphics can be seen on the tongue and heel, Swooshes provide a finishing touch with a DIY-like aesthetic that sees them rise well above the upper and bungee-style laces tie everything together.
The Gnarhunters x Nike SB Dunk Low has yet to receive an official release date or any pricing information, but it'll likely arrive at Nike SB stockists later this year.
