Last Friday night a big party went down in Melbourne town to celebrate the publication of 'Unemployable', the massive new hardback book that charts the brand history of Globe. The majestic scholarly panopticon that is the State Library of Victoria welcomed a crowd that is more likely to be seen shredding the sunken marble column sculpture out the front than pounding Britannica inside, but it served as a perfect metaphor for how the founders of Globe have masterfully traversed the business world without altering their attitudes.

Champagne and extravagant hors d'oeuvres were on deck, but so were some of the true OGs of the skate, surf, political and entertainment worlds. Skate trick inventor and computer coding investor Rodney Mullen showed up for some happy snaps, as did Mark Occhilupo and the last decent Prime Minister of Australia, Paul Keating; even old mate Poida came along to squash a few tinnies. The SF crew got along to celebrate the launch too. We've been helping out with this book for a while so it was dope seeing the finished product being thumbed through by the excitable fan boys and girls.

Peep the pics from the night below and stay with us for more info about the book's general release soon!
