Following the celebrations around the adidas Forum, it looks like the Three Stripes are keeping the decorations up, this time to commemorate 30 years of EQT. Originally designed to meet athletes’ needs as a piece of their equipment – equipment, EQT, geddit? – the line has traversed its performance origins and been embraced by the lifestyle clique.
In tribute to the last three decades, adidas have prepped quite the release schedule, teeing up a 16-strong collection of throwback colourways and collaborative releases. Four models will be plied with the iconic EQT ‘Sub Green’, as well as be reworked by the deft hands of key sneaker boutiques. Footpatrol, Livestock and Carnival will take on the Running Support 93; Extra Butter, mita and Overkill will remix the CSG Equipment 91; atmos, Sneaker Politics and solebox will tackle the Equipment Prototype; and the Equipment Race Walk will be gussied up by Commonwealth, Hanon and Limited Edt.
No release dates have been announced yet, but keep your eyes on adi’s EQT online experience for updates.
