A Friends and Family Colourway of G-Dragon's PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 Appears!
K-pop superstar is set to release his first true signature shoe with – the – in the coming months, and ahead of its retail arrival he's been blessing members of his inner circle with a friends and family-only pair. Reportedly limited to a scant 111 units, G-Dragon's F&F Kwondo 1 is decidedly more lively than its monochromatic retail counterpart.
As seen in the images above, its quirky silhouette is befitting of a pop star, combining wingtip detailing and an old-school collar flap with a sneaker-shaped last. Where the retail Kwondo is all white, the F&F edition uses four different colour Swooshes (pink, yellow, blue and teal) to add a healthy dose of colour, and swaps out the standard white midsole for an aged yellow variation. However, it does retain the signature daisy heel embroidery and branded tongue tags of its counterpart.
G-Dragon already has a duo of well-received colabs under his belt, but as the Kwondo 1 is his first original silhouette it's a step in a new direction for his footwear legacy – possibly one that'll thrust him into the upper echelon of Nike collaborators.
Look for the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 to debut in early 2022, with an exact date of arrival likely to surface soon.
