Updated August 2, 2022: Official images of G-Dragon's PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 in black and white have surfaced. Unsurprisingly, it's been nicknamed 'Panda.' Check out all of its two-tone details above, stay tuned for info on a release date as it's made available and read the original article below for more info.
Kwon Ji-yong, better known as K-Pop superstar G-Dragon is an individual who defies easy categorisation, and that extends to the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 – his signature Nike sneaker. After debuting in an all-white makeup last year, the Kwondo 1 is coming back in 2022, and this time around it's done up in a spectator shoe-style black and white colourway that was recently revealed by @sneaker.spook.
The Kwondo 1's defining feature is its hybrid construction. It's a sneaker that was built to look like a brogue. This black and white colourway puts that sneaker/brogue look front and centre, using its colourblocking to highlight key details like the decorative perforations on its overlays and draw further attention to the removable PEACEMINUSONE flap that covers the tongue. Of course, G-Dragon's white and yellow daisy graphic takes up its standard place on the heel.
A release date for this new colourway of the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 has yet to be revealed, but it's likely to hit shelves later this year. If the retail price from the last pair stands, expect to shell out $180 if you're looking to cop.
