Freaky Feet: What's On-Foot at Sneaker Freaker - February 2020
We take our business attire very seriously here at Sneaker Freaker! Being the world’s premier sneaker magazine and online resource certainly keeps us on our toes, but we have to make sure our own are feet sorted, too. Here’s a look at some of the heat on feet we laced up during the month of February.
Minh: Nike Air Huarache OG ‘Purple Punch’
‘I’m still riding the Huarache train. OG colourway, square tongue label, and a Saint Side lace flip – all I need is Michael Johnson’s spandex suit!’
Cesca: Nike Air Max 95 ‘Solar Red’
‘Some days only Air Max 95s will cut it. And sometimes GS ‘Solar Reds’ that I scooped up at the Nike outlet are those 95s.’
Jacob: New Balance M997GY
‘There’s a distinct difference in the support offered by the silky insoles of the New Balance 997. Feeling grey never felt so good!’
Boon: Supreme x Nike SB GTS ‘Black’
‘One of Supreme’s best – and laziest – Nike SB collaborations ever, amirite?!’
Anthony: Comme des Garçons x Nike ACG Air Mowabb
‘All conditions means all conditions, and these CdGs have seen it all. I’m not ashamed to say that these have seen the washing machine more than once, and have stood up (so far...)’
Simon: New Balance M997LBF 'English Lavender'
'It takes a real man to be comfortable enough to sport a bright pair of lavender kicks. At the very least, it takes someone who likes watching the bewildered looks they get when wearing these pastel beauties. These sneakers turn heads and, I daresay, a few stomachs too. That said, my wife bought them for me, and for that reason alone, I love them.'
Ella: UNDERCOVER x Nike React Element 87 ‘Volt’
‘Got these comfy boys in September, 2018! The see-through TPU upper looks delicate, but is surprisingly durable. It’s one of the few pairs that have survived the careless beating my sneakers have to endure.’
Gabe: Shin Sanbongi x adidas Skateboarding Matchbreak Super
‘What better way to prepare for the inaugural Olympic skateboarding competition than rolling in a pair of Sanbongi’s Matchbreak Supers?’
Ged: adidas Busenitz PureBOOST
‘These have quickly become a go-to for the daily commute. The BOOST is super comfy underneath, and the Primeknit uppers make me feel like I’m wearing nothing at all... nothing at all... nothing at all.’
Audrey: Air Jordan 4 ‘Military Blue’
‘Hump day delights! The AJ4s are always a winner.’
Tim: Salomon S/Lab XT-4 ADV ‘Ice/Lunar Rock’
‘I honestly can’t think of anything to say...’
Seb: Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Delva
‘I’ve enjoyed every single Kiko release since the GEL-Burz first saw the light of day.’
