Sneaker Freaker were on the ground last weekend to celebrate the Nike Tuned 25th anniversary at Foot Locker's TN Corner Store. The Air Max Plus was right at home in the ‘burbs of Western Sydney, with the scene set by Tuned heads trawling a grungy Guildford street. Ahead of the public opening on November 11, there was also an intimate get together held on the night of the 10th, with Australia’s most dedicated TN fanatics in attendance.

The TN Corner Store was a sight to behold, with milk bar signage plastered across the shop and a themed phone booth blending in seamlessly to the Guildford landscape. It was a sensory overload once inside the installation, with the first half featuring stacks of Tuned-themed offerings, like candy, newspapers and drinks. The party continued through to the back section where you could find a museum that celebrated 25 years of rich TN history. Plenty of rare pairs from Sneaker Freaker’s archive were on show like the 1998 ‘Tigers’ and ‘Hyper Blue’ samples. There was also an epic selection of Tuned art from Haram, Bleu Mode and Rudy Lim, plus a wild Air Max Plus dirt bike! For those who were hungry, custom Tuned-branded HSPs (Halal Snack Packs) were served in the alley next door.

The attendees touched down at Foot Locker’s TN Corner Store to be the first in the world to get their hands on the latest Sneaker Freaker book, STAY TUNED. On offer was the ultra-rare Friends and Family cover, with the infamous TN ‘Tiger’ displayed on the front. Woody, STAY TUNED author and Sneaker Freaker head honcho, was posted out the front signing books, and of course, having a yarn about all things Tuned! There was also some merch on offer, with a lucky few attendees walking away with hats and tees by artists @jonascozone and @edgilj.

The TN Corner Store event perfectly captured the essence of this legendary silhouette, delivering the ultimate TN experience and the perfect launch for STAY TUNED. Keep it locked to your local Foot Locker to scoop your copy!
