First Look: Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low Colourways Are On the Way!
The omnipresent Virgil Abloh builds on his already prolific 2021, prepped to follow up ‘The 50’ Off-White x Nike Dunk Lows with two upcoming colourways of the Air Jordan 2 Low. A somewhat left-field choice for his latest Jordan Brand collaboration, these AJ2 Lows join the previously released Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 5 in the designer’s ever-growing Jumpman portfolio.
A possible nod to the ‘Varsity Red’ colourway from 1986, one of the versions features midsoles with an ‘aged’ aesthetic, and a cracked appearance. Michael Jordan’s signature is printed on the lateral collar, while Virgil’s signature plastic zip tie hits the laces. As expected, Helvetica text is stamped on the medial quarter, with two sets of ‘SHOELACES’ included in cream and black.
And there’s another colourway done in black with purple accents, bright coral laces, and an orange zip tie. MJ’s signature also features on this pair, but it’s done in silver (instead of black) and placed on the lateral quarter.
No official release details have been revealed, but all signs are pointing to a release later this year: the Air Jordan 2’s 35th anniversary. Stay tuned for more news!
