First Look: Comme des Garçons x New Balance 57/40 and 574s

Comme des Garçons will be adding to their recently revealed Nike Air Foamposite One collaboration thanks to two special sneaker projects with New Balance. Last week, we caught wind of the 574 finessed by the eYe Comme des Garçons JUNYA WATANABE MAN sub-label, and it looks like a 57/40 is also in the works.

Done in collaboration with CDG HOMME, the 57/40 comes dressed in all black, elevated with a weather-resistant construction. There’s a nylon ripstop and suede upper, complemented with GORE-TEX on the overlays. Meanwhile, a branded tongue tag featuring ‘CdGH’ and the model name in white brings the contrast.

As previously mentioned, the 574s have a slightly higher cut than the traditional silhouette, with fleece lining added for luxurious comfort. Expect black and white colourways done in leather come release time.

The Comme des Garçons x New Balance 57/40 and eYe CDG JUNYA WATANABE MAN New Balance 574s are rumoured for release in October 2021, most likely via Dover Street Market and other select retailers. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for additional details and bring ‘em your way ASAP.
