First Look: The Air Jordan 1 'Volt Gold'
The Air Jordan 1 had a monster 2018, an even bigger 2019, and is currently experiencing an astronomic 2020. So unstoppable is the hunger for AJ1s that the hype has even extended to Mids and Lows – something nobody would have predicted a few years ago! And it looks like Jordan Brand aren't done with the beloved franchise yet, as leaked images of early 2021 releases start to roll through – including the 'Volt Gold'.
A first look at the rumoured Jay comes via s.sam.group, who have been kind enough to give us an all-angles view. The bold colourway definitely swerves retro Jordan vibes, and opts instead for an unexpected tonal combo. White and black provide a familiar foundation, but a clashy mix of rich gold at the heel and searing 'Volt' on the collar makes for a fresh feel.
Build-wise, they take on a subtle deconstructed look, which comes via exposed foam in the tongue.
These are currently slated for a January 9 release, but we're still waiting on confirmation from Beaverton. We'll let you know when official details surface.
