First Look: The Air Jordan 1 Element is Equipped With GORE-TEX
To go with the recently revealed Acclimate version, it looks like the iconic Air Jordan 1 is getting another cold-weather remix from Jordan Brand. Dubbed the AJ1 Element, this new rendition is equipped to deal with inclement conditions thanks to the inclusion of GORE-TEX. We've seen the Air Force 1 given the same treatment, so the membrane hitting MJ's first signature sneaker doesn't come as a huge surprise.
With IRL pics surfacing for the first time, we get a look at the colour scheme, which is comprised of 'Sail', 'Light Bone', 'College Grey', and black. There's GORE-TEX branding hitting the grey heel section, which matches the ankle collar with traditional Wings logo. Black is used for the base and overlays, which is constructed with a more rugged look than we're used to seeing. The side Swoosh looks to be white, but it could be reflective material – difficult to tell from the flash in the pics. A white midsole and black/grey midsole round things out.
We'll be keeping an eye out for more pics ahead of the Holiday 2021 release, but rumours suggest you can expect this pair to drop in November via SNKRS. Stay tuned for more info.
