First Look: The adidas NMD S1 is a Classic Reimagined
One of the stars of lifestyle lineup – the – is set to enter a : introducing the NMD S1. Given a first look courtesy of Three Stripes ambassador , the latest rendition of the lightweight, low-cut sneaker comes through with some significant visual and technical changes.
It’s not all different, however, with the upper retaining its full knitted construction, complemented with synthetic overlays on the translucent quarter panels providing the Three Stripes branding hit. Free of seams and laced minimally, the sneaker keeps its tried-and-true sock-like look and feel. Things do take a different turn down below, with the familiar BOOST cushioning replaced with a chunky midsole which looks to have gel-like technology for comfort. The NMD without BOOST? Madness.
Branding hits continue with a Trefoil spelled out across the midsole’s forefoot piece, while more branding is printed towards the rear. For the outsole, there’s a jagged tread pattern, which gives off a slight trail vibe.
No official info has been revealed, but expect the NMD S1 to hit stores in the coming months. Stay tuned for more!
