The sneakersphere is a magical place where creativity and cool shit flourishes. When a brand collaborates with a retailer, all that is incumbent on both parties is to put the sneaker up for sale. A lot of the time, that's all that would be necessary to sell it. Extra Butter could have taken the chill route with their new Vanguard collection, but they decided to splash a bit of cash and have a bit of fun. Over the weekend they ran a couple of real life scavenger hunts in New York's Central Park and Long Island's Hempstead Lake Park, where participants could track down a case of goodies and activate the opportunity to buy the new colab. It looked like a mad good time for the punters, and you can read about it here and watch the recap video below. Kudos to EB for doing something different!
