EST Gee and Oneness Donate Over 350 Pairs of Sneakers, Essential Student Supplies for Back To School

Last week, rapper EST Gee teamed up with boutique Oneness to donate sneakers and school supplies in time for the Back To School period. Almost 600 people lined the streets of Oneness’ Louisville, Kentucky location to receive footwear, clothing, backpacks, and stationery supplies. To make the giveaway even more enticing, 12 of the backpacks contained a special ticket that entitled the lucky winner to a brand new iPad.

The local police department had to help manage the crowd of hundreds that showed up to Oneness, eventually shutting down the entire block so everybody could safely receive their items. Every last pair of shoes, backpack and piece of stationery was collected within two hours – a resounding success by any measure. The event was even picked up by local news channels, with a reporter on the ground capturing how big the crowd got on Tuesday last week.

EST Gee is a rising rap star and Louisville local, who ‘wanted the kids in his hometown to be fresh for back to school’ as a way of giving back to the community. Oneness say this isn’t a one-off event – they plan to continue this charitable collaboration with EST Gee in the future. Well done to all!
