Emily Oberg Joins Kith Women As Creative Lead
After recently leaving Complex Media, has joined as the creative lead for the brand’s women’s line. Stating the importance of authenticity, Ronnie Fieg told that he felt like the women’s brand required 'a voice and direction of somebody who will be wearing the product.’ And, given her candid support of Kith and her irrefutably influential streetwear-cum-high-fashion stylings, Oberg is clearly the one for the job.
First up for the new union looks to be an expansion of Kith’s presence in the women’s sector, especially in Miami where the Fieg says there is large demand. ‘There’s a real opportunity to expand… I can’t really speak on it yet, but we are planning on doing this year to expand on the retail basis.’
Kith already boasts one of best curations of sneakers in the market, and the addition of Oberg to the team is sure to strengthen that selection. What types of sneakers can we expect? Well, in our she proclaimed her love of the Air Max 93 – and anyone who follows her will be familiar with her love for Chanel sneakers – so a blend of sportswear and luxury is sure to be on the cards.
