WNBA Star Elena Delle Donne’s Signature Nike Air Deldon Lands in Second Colourway
In August, it was announced that WNBA star Elena Delle Donne would be receiving her own signature sneaker. Known as the Air Deldon, the model has, first and foremost, been designed as an inclusive sneaker. The future Basketball Hall-of-Famer is an avid advocate of inclusivity, constantly showing support for the LGBTQIA+ and physically challenged communities. As such, the Air Deldon employs the Air Strobel unit, which encompasses the model’s footbed. Nike’s has also been incorporated into the design, ensuring everyone’s able to wear them.
In terms of branding, Delle Donne’s initials ‘EDD’ can be found on the forefoot flaps. The Nike Air Deldon debuted in a green and blue colourway, and now, this second iteration – featuring varying shades of grey and blue – has followed just under a month later.
