Eight Uber-Rare Sneakers Up for Auction at Sotheby’s ‘Cult Canvas’
Renowned auction house Sotheby’s has eight of artist-created sneakers up for bidding as part of their ‘Cult Canvas’ event.
Featuring Grails from and , the lineup celebrates the crossovers between art and fashion, illustration and design, and sport and culture. Each sneaker is a one-off limited-edition pair or production sample, and each was made in collaboration with artists.
Seven sought-after Nike SB feature in ‘Cult Canvas’, including the collaborations with Futura, Jeff Staple, Bernard Buffet, and Katsuya Terada. Additionally, Peter Moore’s Air Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ from 1985 adds some Jumpman flavour to the exclusive assortment.
