Virgil Abloh’s legacy lives on via his extensive body of work, particularly the collaborations between his Off-White brand and Nike. Unsurprisingly, his output reached many celebrities, some of who embraced it deeply. One of those people is Drake, who actively repped Abloh’s output via his own partnership with the Swoosh and also in many a rap lyric. The 6 God’s latest purchase in tribute to the late designer is this one-of-one sample of an Air Force 1 complete with signature Off-White modifications.

Among one of the simpler remakes of the Uptown, the key difference with this edition is the blue tab near the ‘tail’ of the oversized silver Swoosh, a detail that’s been usually orange on the retail releases. Otherwise, this is a relatively undisturbed white pair, aside from the overlocking stitching, Helvetica midsole text and repositioned tongue tag.

This pair was previously owned by @bikemanx, whose track record of sourcing uber rare sneakers is unrivalled. Per his Instagram post, he confirmed the sale to Drake, who subsequently revealed the shoes in a now-expired Instagram Story.

Don’t expect to see this pair in the open market ever again. Given Drake’s friendship with Abloh, it’s safe to say this sample is in safe hands.
