Travel the Tea Horse Road with the DEAL x NSC x PUMA Colab
Chinese sneaker collaborators have been coming out of the woodwork recently, with brands tapping local stores and labels to reinvent a swathe of their silhouettes. Next up, is boutique DEAL, who’ve linked with NSC and for a collaboration featuring the and TRC Blaze. The inspiration behind the two silhouettes is the Tea Horse Road aka the Southern Silk Road. This ancient network of caravan paths through mountainous regions was pivotal to the Chinese tea trade.
The Suede boasts a full-gold textured upper that actually tears away with wear. Underneath are illustrations depicting the individuals who would have travelled along the Tea Horse Road as well as a map. Releasing alongside the TRC Blaze, it has been kitted out in earthy hues, contrasted by deep red tones and subtle green touches.
Both the DEAL x NSC x PUMA Suede and TRC Blaze are China-exclusives and will launch next month via DEAL’s channels.
