Feast Your Eyes on the Ultra Rare ‘Dare to Dream’ Sneaker Collection
Founded way back in 1744 by Samuel Baker, auction house continues to drop the hammer on some of the world’s rarest sneakers. Recently presenting the record-shattering a six-shoe lot of items worn by Michael Jordan en route to his six NBA championships, Sotheby’s are continuing to go all-in on high-stakes sneakers.
The latest collection is dubbed , and it is absolutely bursting at the seams with chimerical sneakers to salivate over. Belonging to global financier and real estate investor, Miles Nadal, the vast stockpile of sneakers includes over 800 pairs and features rarities like an early pair of handmade racing shoes by co-founder Bill Bowerman and the 1972 Nike Moon Shoes. Some other highlights of the collection include an original player sample of Michael Jordan’s the Dunk ‘Paris’, and the legendary Nike Mag. For motorheads, the auction also features over 100 cars, including the ‘Big 5’ Ferraris, a McLaren P1 in Gulf livery, and a Lamborghini Miura P400 SV. The special live auction will take place at the collection’s home, a 17,000-square foot exhibition space in the heart of Toronto, Canada. The top 50 pairs of sneakers are included in the live auction on June 1, with 800 more to appear in the online auction, which closes on June 5.
