Converse have renovated a London hotel for the express purpose of exhibiting sneakers.
Named the One Star Hotel, the five-storey space pays homage to 90s culture and how today’s youth are incorporating it into their own style. Converse collaborators such as Yung Lean and A$AP Nast have curated certain 'guest rooms' and that will 'provide unique opportunities for digital, product and live experiences' while streetwear wunderkind Leo Mandela mans the lobby – a creative concierge of sorts.
The hotel will be open on February 16 and 17, with a lineup of musical acts on-hand to entertain. There’s at least one online video of a guided tour, and Pariah Zadeh’s teaser images suggests some colabs will be released in addition to new releases and some sought-after re-ups. Take a look inside, and stay posted for release updates.
