Vacancy: Take a Tour of Converse's One Star Hotel
have renovated a London hotel for the express purpose of exhibiting sneakers.
Named the Hotel, the five-storey space pays homage to 90s culture and how today’s youth are incorporating it into their own style. Converse collaborators such as Yung Lean and have curated certain 'guest rooms' and that will 'provide unique opportunities for digital, product and live experiences' while streetwear wunderkind Leo Mandela mans the lobby – a creative concierge of sorts.
The hotel will be open on February 16 and 17, with a of musical acts on-hand to entertain. There’s at least one online video of a guided tour, and Pariah Zadeh’s images suggests some colabs will be released in addition to new releases and some sought-after re-ups.
