News on this release was first published on December 15, 2023.

Update February 2, 2024: Following on from her recent show at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, Feng Chen Wang has shared a look at the upcoming Seoul-based pop-up activation for her latest Converse colab, which centres on the Chuck 70 Low. Take a look inside the concept below.

Update January 11, 2024: Last year, Converse announced their upcoming collaborations with Martine Ali, Isabel Marant, and Feng Chen Wang, who have been tasked to reimagine the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star. Brooklyn-based jewellery label Martine Ali commenced the project back in November 2023 with a utilitarian-influenced Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge. The edgy pair boasts a monochromatic black look with exposed white stitching on the collar and metallic accents throughout.

Most recently, Feng Chen Wang has given a glimpse of her own iteration. The full set of official images has yet to be released, but based on her latest Instagram Reel, the silhouette arrives in the low-top version of the Chuck 70, and we'll see two colourways get a release. The design is inspired by the concept of 'My Half', hence the double midsoles and split outsole. The toe seems to have an intentional pre-loved look, while the rest of the shoe is covered in a jade-green gradient or beige overlays. 'Feng Chen Wang' motifs near the heel and lacing system round off the style.

The Feng Chen Weng x Converse Chuck 70 will drop on February 3 via Converse Korea's website, Musinsa, and Empty. Converse's Hongdae, South Korea store will see a later release date of February 6. Feng Chen Wang has also teased a drop via her own channels – fans are encouraged to sign up ahead of the release.

Converse have been subtly succeeding all 2023 long with a collaborative roster that has featured partners both new and old. Now, following the Friends and Family TITAN 22 x Weapon and Wonka collection, Converse have announced their Catalyst line, which will host female creatives from around the globe.

Consisting of jewellery designer Martine Ali and fashion designers Isabel Marant and Feng Chen Wang, each are tasked with setting new paths for Converse through collaborative efforts. The trio will use Converse's Chuck Taylor All Star lineup and be asked to redefine the silhouettes with their unique flair. First up was Ali, who designed the Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge that came complete with a gator and high-heel design.

Martine Ali’s De Luxe Wedge dropped through Converse’s channels on December 1. You can expect Isabel Marant and Feng Chen Wang designs to be announced in the near future.
