No doubt about it, 2020 has been one hardcore MOFO of a year! However, you can still cap it off with a bang, thanks to the release of Sneaker Freaker Issue 44!

We’ve managed to put together another killer 200-page tome during COVID lockdown, with the Sneaker Freaker community all over the globe rising to the occasion.

Our cover star is the Louis Vuitton X408. Inspired by Terminator 2, Converse Fastbreaks and Billie Jean, the Virgil Abloh-designed high tops feature intricate fibre-optics that light up with the press of a button. As a special bonus, the cover flaunts a holographic rainbow LV logo that is undeniably perfect for IG stunting!

Woody, Sneaker Freaker's founder and Editor-in-Chief, comes through with a 20-page Virgil Abloh interview, which details everything from the designer’s ‘debut’ in the pages of Sneaker Freaker Issue 3 to why he signed Lucien Clarke to a Louis Vuitton skate deal. It’s a never-before-seen insight into the Off-White founder’s freewheeling mindset. Just make sure you pause and take a breath every once in a while!

Virgil isn’t the only renowned designer in Issue 44. We also sat down with AMBUSH® co-founder Yoon Ahn, as well as Versace’s VP of Sneakers and Men’s Footwear Salehe Bembury, to find out more about their come-ups and what they’ve got in store for 2021.

Additionally, we shine the light on UK-based Air Max collector Ria Rascal to find out more about why she’s had to work harder than most to fuel her sneaker addiction.

And that's just half of it! The back portion of the mag is a tribute to the pioneers who helped lay the foundations for contemporary sneaker culture. Neal Heard caught up with the lads from The Duffer of St George, who raided sports stores across Europe and America and sold the spoils through their London store in the late 80s.

Over in New York, Tommy Rebel was a man on a mission buying up Humaras, Son Of Lava Domes and ‘Silver Bullets’ all through the 90s. His incredible photo album is a unique insight into East Coast deadstock style.

We also travel to Spain, where Luis Miguel Lozano shows off his ‘white leather’ Nike collection. His first shoes were the ‘Metallic Blue’ AirJordan 1s, so you know he’s definitely an OG-OG.

Theres all this, and much more in Issue 44. Grab your copy now via the Sneaker Freaker shop!
