Update June 13: CLOT have shared official images and a release date for their upcoming cork Nike Dunk Low, the release coming with six interchangeable velcro Swoosh. Inspired by the mood boards founder Edison Chen utilises during the brainstorming process, the collaboration is set to launch on June 23. Stay tuned to Juice stores for raffle information.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 20 years since Edison Chen and Kevin Poon’s CLOT imprint was founded. A streetwear stalwart from their Hong Kong outpost, the label has had a long and successful relationship with industry leaders like Nike and Jordan Brand. The latest collaboration Chen has teased is a throwback cork iteration of the Dunk – a model that CLOT are very familiar with overhauling.

The heels of the cork uppers are stamped with dates paying homage to the anniversary: 2003 on the left and 2023 on the right. In terms of Swooshes, the examples pictured below are sky blue and grey in leather and snakeskin; it’s likely there will be more options included once the shoes eventually arrive.

Of course, cork has been widely used in the sneaker industry. Nike used it in 2013 on the Lebron 10, celebrating the King’s 2012 NBA Championship with the Miami Heat (where popping champagne is compulsory in post-game celebrations).

There’s no official word from CLOT regarding official release details just yet, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for details.
