Closer Look: The Nike Dunk Low ‘Siempre Familia’

Fresh from news of its impending arrival later this year, detailed images of the  Nike  Dunk Low ‘Siempre Familia’ have landed on IG. As seen on the initial reveal, this is a wild build, and this latest batch of pics provides a closer look from multiple angles.

Featuring green faux lizard skin and black faux snakeskin overlays, this Dunk’s side Swooshes and heel panels neatly reference Latin American artistic motifs. ‘Siempre Familia’ – translated to ‘Always Family’ in Spanish – is emblazoned on the insoles, while the translucent outsole is a nice touch to the overall design. On the lateral heel, a slithering yellow lizard completes the vibe.

The Nike Dunk has become a super strong presence in the current sneaker zeitgeist, and has been mounting a bit of a challenge for sneaker supremacy against its 1985 alumni – the previously untouchable  Air Jordan 1. While the similarities between the two silhouettes can seem quite obvious, this definitive breakdown of the two designs delves into the subtle differences.
