Closer Look: The Air Jordan 3 ‘Pine Green’
Following a somewhat blurry sneak peek late last month, a much closer and more detailed look has emerged for the Air Jordan 3 ‘Pine Green’ that is scheduled to drop later this year. Dressed in a neat combo of black, white, ‘Pine Green’, and ‘Cement Grey’, this is shaping as a must-have for fans of the AJ3. The black nubuck upper truly allows the ‘Pine Green’ accents to play the starring role on the midsole, ankle, branding and eyelets. Then, in the usual Air Jordan 3 fashion, the signature elephant print wraps the toe and heel, while the white midsole and grey rubber hits below complete the vibe.
Representing the third instalment in Michael Jordan’s enduring signature line, when the AJ3 first released in the late-80s it made a quick impression thanks to the blockbuster ‘Mike and Mars’ advertising campaign. Also boosted by the fact it was on MJ’s feet when he took off from the free-throw line for his iconic launch in the 1988 Slam Dunk contest, the Air Jordan 3 was the first mid-cut Jordan.
While official word hasn’t been given yet, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Pine Green’ is expected to land on November 13 via Nike and select Jumpman retailers.
