Considering the rabid hype generated from the release of the Dior x Air Jordan 1, it’s easy to forget that Kim Jones’ designs don’t always need the Jumpman to shine! Following on from the success of the B23, Dior have revealed their latest luxury sneaker offering: the B27.
Made in Italy, each pair combines Dior’s leatherworking heritage with combined and layered inlays to create a unique three-dimensional effect.
At a glance, the sneaker’s skateboarding inspiration is strong, with a mid-top construction and classic design throwbacks that spark memories of creations from DC Shoes and Globe. The debut colourway features grey, similar to the aforementioned ‘Air Dior’, with white and black working to complement the primary tone. The traditional lacing is supported with a hefty branded strap, while the side panel is decorated with Dior’s eye-catching Oblique print. The mudguard features added stitching, mimicking the ollie-guard protection on many skate shoes, while the rear is stamped with another bold ‘Dior’ hit. Finally, the sole unit delivers a classic look, with a white branded midsole and gum outsole. Would you skate ‘em?
The Dior B27 has released at select boutiques globally. You can also head to Dior’s webstore to try score a pair – if you’re lucky!
