Closer Look: CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Kiss of Death – Cha’
Following the official unveiling, CLOT have revealed more pics of their upcoming Nike Air Max 1 ‘Kiss of Death – Cha’ alternate colourway. Hot on the heels of the recent return of the ‘Kiss of Death’ Air Max 1, CLOT founder Edison Chen has brewed up another rendition just in time for the upcoming Air Max Day festivities.
The limited edition colourway is based on an OG ‘K.O.D.’ sample from 2006, which was inspired by the Chinese tradition of drinking tea. Dominated with brown tones, the sneaker makes use of the updated construction of the 2021 Nike Air Max 1 ‘Kiss of Death’ release, dressing in an autumnal ‘Rocky Tan’ upper with ‘Sport Red’ Swooshes. Additional red embroidery decorates the rear heel, while Chinese print insoles are found inside. Down below, there’s a ‘Medium Brown’ midsole, which is complemented with a translucent outsole, while Chinese reflexology point graphics sit underneath. And, of course, there’s deluxe packaging – a CLOT staple!
At this stage, it looks like the Nike Air Max 1 ‘Kiss of Death – Cha’ will be quite limited, releasing at CLOT’s Fall/Winter 2021 ‘DYNASTY’ presentation on March 27 in Shanghai. Another official release is set to take place through JUICE store locations. We’ll let you know if they ever get a wider drop.
